Rural Economic Action Plan Application - REAP 2025
  1. Regular REAP applications will open at 8:00 AM on the first day of June of each year and will close on the last day of July at 3:00 PM. If either of these dates fall on a weekend, no help will be available to you.
  2. CDBG REAP applications will open at 8:00 am on the first day of August of each year and will close on the last day of September at 3:00 PM. If either of these dates fall on a weekend, no help will be available to you.
  3. The current open application amount is $75,000.00.
  4. Be sure to review the Application Instructions before you start filling out the actual application. Have all attachment files prepared and accessible prior to starting an application. Once you start the application, you must complete it. You cannot stop and come back later. If you exit the program before the application is complete, you will have to start over from the beginning. (It is advisable to print and review the Resources listed in the box to the right before you begin the application.)
  5. Only Communities and/or County Districts of less than 7,000 in population may apply or sponsor an application (no County-wide projects are accepted).
  6. SODA will accept only one project per application.
  7. Entities are limited to one (1) application.
  8. The following items, if applicable, must be attached to your application for it to be considered complete:
    • Job affidavit (If you answered yes to question III A)
    • Multi-Jurisdictional Agreements (If you answered yes to III C)
    • Consent Orders (If you answered yes to III D)
    • Total Capital Needs Summary (If you answered yes to III F and G)
    • Copy of deed (If you answered yes to question III H)
    • Project Budget (All applications should have a budget that matches the “Total Project Cost” on II H)
    • Resolution (County/City) (City or county projects)
    • Resolution (Entity) (Projects for entities other than city or counties)
    • Application Signature Page (Print off form from Resource Box)
